My girlfriend at the time and I didn't attend. We decided to go out to dinner at Canlis and then skipped heading to prom. Instead we headed to a couple of discos (yes, I confess...DISCOS) to meet up with older friends. 'Party Hearty' kinda describes that night and deep into the following morning.
To be honest I don't remember a hell of a lot of the specific details about that night, or any of those well into the following day. But I do remember it as being one hell of time...at least I think it was.

Here you go. Found it for you....

The first known song ever written is called Hurrian Hymn no.6. Originally composed by Syrians about 3400 years ago. For fifteen years Prof. Anne Draffkorn Kilmer puzzled over clay tablets relating to music including some excavated in Syria by French archaeologists in the early '50s.
My year had several favorites that were always on the playlist at every dance and such, concluding with prom.
Forever Young by Alphaville was on that list. Some others by Sisters of Mercy, New Order, Psychedelic Furs and such (should be able to approximate when I graduated).
But the #1 favorite, the theme song, was "Red Red Wine" by UB40.
