I noticed it about 1000 central.
So now, everything they own is either burned, smoke damaged beyond use, or water logged to the point of destruction.

I can’t do much about the latest DC scandal, or leftist debacle.
But I can help a neighbor.

I think we need to focus a bit more on our immediate surroundings sometimes.
We get so spun up about global events, things we can rarely do anything about.
We can nearly all do something locally

We had that happen to a neighbor a few years back, as a result of an Independence Day firework that went astray.

That totally sucks. Any idea on a cause? They were insured, right?

Good lord. I pray it wasn't arson. Sorry to hear that. Take care of them as much as they're willing to accept. God bless you and them.

I’m sure there are 100 little things that would be of help, over the next days.

Kids? Ages? Do they have family nearby? A relative had a pretty serious house fire years ago. In that case, even the dogs were ok, still a lot to recover from.

Just him and his wife, bunch of dogs. Everyone got out ok. They are a few years older than me.
Our families have been friends for years. Our mothers and fathers grew up together. So they have lots of family close by as well.
Don’t know about insurance, but I assume they are insured.
They have been in this double wide for several years, been contemplating building on the existing property. This may very well be the catalyst for that.

Who did you use, and how much do they charge? Will they travel? Smile I've had a dump next to me for the full 27 years we've been here. Been empty and run down for the last 19. Sure could use some help. The city is of no use, they condemned it, the power company cut the wires and I assume the gas. The paint has started to peal and is ugly. Oh, let me repeat, the city is of no use.

Helping our local mutual assistance groups (MAGs) is the second smartest thing we can ALL be doing right now. It's also just the right thing to do.
Sorry to hear this has happened to that family. It's a pretty devastating loss.
