MetalomaSIG 552 SWAT Cocking handle
Hi ,
My name is Marcel Welting and I'm a licensed gun owner from Holland.
I lost the Cocking handle of my SIG 552 SWAT during a move . Can someone tell me where I can buy a new one.

KSGMIt's likely you'll need to have one made. You may be able to get one by buying a 552 "parts kit" (a de-milled) rifle, but you'll pay a lot in that case. I've seen the bolt carrier groups sold without the rest of the stuff before, as some folks buy a 552 parts kit and end up using the other parts, but not the guts, when they realize that building the 552 is not easy.
If you know someone else who has one, and is willing to let you borrow the cocking handle, a machinist can reproduce it easy-enough, and it won't cost as much as other options.

I am pretty sure any US person supplying this part would be in violation of ITAR regs. Not a good thing to do as penalties are very severe. Also this is a first day post by the author, can't say it is troll or scam but beware. Para check this out please.

VoshterkoffD&B would be the first European source I would check.

A 552 cocking handle is subject to ITAR, but may qualify for the less than $500 total value exemption for parts other than frame, receivers, and complete breech mechanisms (unless the handle is from a machinegun, then all bets are off as to whether it is ITAR exempt).

Try Schwabenarms in Rottweil Germany.

bettysnephewSorry if I caused a ruckus Para.
Didn't want to see anyone get in trouble with all the weird international trade laws that kick in for weapons related items. My wife deals in overseas sales of aircraft cockpit parts for Collins Aerospace and some of those parts are also used in military planes. The paperwork she has to go through when exporting them for commercial aircraft can be horrendous. These parts are not actual weapons parts but apparently can communicate data to be used by targeting systems so fall under ITAR. Again, my apologies.

from HHGoedeavond Marcel,
maybe you want to look into >gunfactory.ch< , they have everything for SIG 55… rifles (including complete cocking handles in different angles, replacement handle rubber covers in different colours and all metal cocking handles). Prices are listed from CHF 95,- to CHF 135,- for complete cocking handles.

KSGMIf the OP is looking for a
552 cocking handle, I don't think any of the provided resources will help him. The 552 uses a different handle than the rest of the 55X rifles, which is why I suggested what I did.

from HHOf course, you‘re right, my mistake. The 552 has the main spring behind the bolt and a different cocking handle.
With the 553 SIG returned to the original cocking handle and spring assembly style.
Maybe the guys at gunfactory.ch are able to give leads where to get a 552 handle, if they have none.
