mark123Crud! I think I've got another hernia.
I think I'm going to delay the surgery until after we get back from visiting our daughter in South Carolina. This was too fast to make such a decisions. Maybe I could shop around for a better option.

mark123I called the doctor today and asked to postpone the surgery until after our return from visiting our daughter. Then I got a jury duty summons in the mail today for the week of January 11 so maybe after that.

mark123The hospital's financial services just called too talk about setting up the payment. They quoted the self pay price as $23138. Awesome.
They suggested using MDSave to purchase a voucher that counts as insurance and covers all costs. We'll see what that's going cost when they call back.

Thanks. I'm 100% self-pay. President zero really screwed up the healthcare system.

Would you mind contacting me via the email in my profile?
I've been doing increasing abdominal workouts and it has greatly improved. However, nothing really hits that area, at least not in isolation.

ensigmaticMark, I'm not being critical--if for no other reason than I've no idea what you have have not been doing. The following is merely an observation.
This is one reason, the main reason, really, I work out regularly: To prevent injury. It's not just the strength and bone density, but being stronger helps you lift more correctly and regular weight training gives you a better feel for what you can
reasonably do without injuring yourself.
Good luck with your injury.

I used to work in landscaping. Mostly installing huge block walls, digging, planting trees, etc. That made me strong but got me into a bad habit of not doing strength training as it was unnecessary. I've found it difficult to get back into it. But, here we are. It's more of a necessity now.

LS1 GTOGreat timing - I go in tomorrow morning for the same.
Seems after my hip replacement followed by the C-19 house arrest, my core wasn't up to snuff when, last month, wife and I decided to frame in a deck followed by 3,000 lbs of gravel and 6 feet of sand.
My leg was able but not my gut.

Yup. Another example of why I do weight training.
