I'll see that and raise you the rookie who started to take the piston rod nut off without even removing the strut. Eek Apparently he thought the weight of the car would hold the spring down. (There is an older model of GM car where you leave the spring and strut in place and just change a cartridge, but that wasn't it.) I stopped him in time before disaster ensued. He quit or was fired not too long after that.
