It's without any doubt whatsoever that she will be absent from the SOTU address if it goes ahead on schedule.

I suppose your theory has some possiblity, but I imagine her real motivation to postpone the address goes deeper than that.

It's just an exorcize in disruption. Anything to make the administration appear to be in disarray. Get used to it. It's going to get ugly up to and including the next election.

It's not a mystery and there are no conspiracy theories in play with RBG.

Chuck and Nancy don't want to give the president a platform with a command performance audience to blast them. The cameras will stay focused on him for the entire duration and unless there's an outburst or other disruption, he's the star. They don't want him to have the sole mic.

This shows how the Dems are childish. The Repubicans never did that to Obama or Clinton but since the new Dem mantra is to win at all costs, this little stunt fits them just fine.

And it fits Trump just fine too.

He can hold a rally type of State of the Union and the audience will be enthusiastic supporters. The media will focus on the event since this is the first address that's been out of the House in a very long time. Nancy get's aced out.

There's so much win in this for Trump it's not funny but on a sadder note, it also shows that the Dems are not interested in anything other than embarassating Trump and any cost.

It's simply politics from that evil whore.

About security. She really should have asked the Secret Service and DHS before sounding off. They have already replied that there’s no problem and the event has been planned for months.

Tell you what I think. The President will invite victims of illegal immigrants. He’ll sit them with Melania and introduce them. The Dems will come face to face with those they have hurt.

Trump backed her in a corner when he had the cameras rolling in their meeting with Schumer. She could have gotten everything she wanted with DACA and all the other illegal issues in a trade for funding the wall.

She backed herself in a corner in order to play to the extreme left and she can't figure a way out of it. Her asking for a delay in the State of the Union speech played right in to Trumps hands.

She's whacked out but she's always known how to play a situation. I'm surprised she's let herself get put in this position. All she had to do was cut a deal with a guy who's most famous trait is negotiating deals...

The White House is starting to get on message about the wall. Dems are looking bad by skipping a meeting and partying on beaches.

I think she’s just trying to change the news. Nothing more.

Believe it or not, she's so desperate that she's willing to tell herself that it'll force - force, mind you - Trump to give up and sign any legislation that'll end the government shut down.

1. As for security: so stinking what? Is there some rule that requires all the Congress to be present for the SOTU? It's typically a lot of standing ovations, and a little bit of substance --> an inefficient use of time. Let DJT tell them all to stay the heck home --> boom, decreased need for security resources. He can then make his SOTU address from the Resolute Desk, broadcasting it all to We The People (the people for whom the SOTU is prepared) via TV and Internet. Security needs? Minimal. Personnel needs? Also minimal. Boom... money and resources saved.

2. Doing so precludes Dems walking out and boycotting (aka grandstanding).
