Friend of mine sent me this article about how Martin's, who makes delicious potato bread and rolls here in PA and used all over the county now is mixed up in some sort of controversy where the company faces boycotts over the owner's "ties to right wing extremists". I grew up eating them and love potato bread, apparently Shake Shack made them a national thing from previously being a regional thing.

So I think, OMG was this guy some sort of Neo-Nazi in his younger days? Associated with some sort of crazy group like the KKK? Secretly affiliated with dangerous far right extremist groups?

Nooooooooooo....it turns out the guy is a Doug Mastriano supporter, that's all. As in the PA state Senator running for Governor of PA. I swear to FRIGGEN GOD the Left intends to make simply being a Republican illegal someday. Roll Eyes Mad

People are boycotting Martin's Potato Rolls for founder's ties to a far-right politician --- Some food industry folks have decided to part ways with the beloved burger buns due to the maker's political ties.

Shake shack is not replacing its buns anytime soon. Large corporations need to keep the consistency which built there brand. Just a BS statement till this blows over.

Gone forever.

The left and the right are too far apart to ever get together again. The right stayed about where it's always been and the left went to far left.

Just bought my Martin's potato hamburger buns and sandwich rolls yesterday so I was already doing my part prior to the BS coming out.

+1. The Left moved the goalpost to the opposite end of the field while accusing the Right of being offside. Straight from the Saul Alinsky playbook.

The Left here in PA appears to be scared of Mastriano just as they were of Trump, they always tell you who they fear the most as Rush used to say.

Doing some more research, this all appears to be driven by one leftist group out of shithole Philadelphia.

I can attest to their delicious product!

The boycott will FAIL just like the one organized against Chick-fil-A by the Progressive nut-jobs.

Mark my words. I will be buying nothing but Martins potato bread and potato rolls for the rest of the year.

They sell a good product. I can support that.

It felt like it was only days after the primaries that the lefties had ads on TV against Mastriano.

Oh and Martin's or nothing. I specify Martin's if anyone else is picking up the rolls/buns.

Didn't Yeungling get hammered on for supporting Trump? They're doing just fine.

Hmmmm this weekend burgers with Martin's rolls and a case of Vitamin Y. Big Grin

Yes, I grew up eating Martin’s

The potato makes the bread and rolls moist and never dry, I hate dry ass regular supermarket burger buns/rolls.

One of my favorites is thick slices of dead ripe summer tomato with a thick slather of mayo and salt & pepper on Martin’s potato bread.

Sounds great, but definitely needs more bacon.
