Get my new (to me) 2018 F-150 tomorrow. Is Line-X bed liner service worth it?

So my truck arrived. I've got a long list of upgrades to add to it over the next year or two.
I think the first order of business is a bedliner. It appears to be in very good shape and I'd like to keep it that way.
Is the Line-X bed liner worth it, or is there a better option. Price appears to be $500 to $700.

ruger357Yes. I literally drive my new trucks off the lot and go straight to line x. Thick and consistent lining. Grippy unlike rhino lining.

reflex/deflex 64Installation is every bit as important as product. Line-x seems to be tops because they insist the installers toe the line. Due diligence and all that.
I have always been partial to the heavy rubber mat type. For my use the non skid and padding are more useful.

limblessbiffI have a 91 Jeep Wrangler that had the inside and whole underside done with line x. It has held up perfectly and not a spec of rust on that jeep or the frame. My uncle who I got it from had it done when it was new. I’d say it’s very well worth it

mod29Line-X is good stuff and worth the money.

sigarms229Yes, it is. Line X is also my preferred brand over the competitors.

sourdough44I think the 1st question to ask is, what do YOU do & put in your truck bed?
I’ve always been a bedliner & Line-X type of guy. I think my current truck is the 1st one without. I just got the simple rubber mat for the bottom. This is going on 4 years, haven’t missed any liner, mat has been fine.
I do a good amount of firewood, after that it’s lite hauling in the cap covered bed. It’s cleaned up now for a SD trip tomorrow.
I think it kinda depends on if a heavy-duty work truck or casual hauler.

calugoMy 2010 Tundra came with a plastic bedliner that has held up well over the past 11 years. It came with the truck so and I don't recall the price but I'm satisfied with how its performed over the years and hasn't cracked or failed in any way

Oz_ShadowIf you do it, add on the underside of the bed wheel wells. It's nice but I have drop in plastic that seems ok.
I do have Line-x on my bed cover. A light coating but keeps it from showing scratches as easily.

BigSwedeI used to use Line X but the guy who ran the shop was a dick and he was unreliable, nothing wrong with the product, expensive
I started using Bullet Liner about 15 years ago, have bought hundreds of liners from them since, zero complaints and a lot cheaper than Line X. Bullet Liner looks like Line X too

This. I've done it to 2 new trucks, 1st lasted 10 years and barely faded. 2nd is going on 6 and hasn't faded at all.
Not only does it protect from scratches, but it stiffens the metal & lessens dents/dings. I'm not gentle. Sometimes I'd like a rubber mat over it, but not enough to actually go out & buy one. I have some old floor mats I throw in if I need to protect what I'm hauling.

P250UA5Another +1 here. Was great on my 16 XLT.
Sucks to hear them grinding away on a brand new truck, though.

TexasScrubThe first thing I do is Linex. Then I put the factory rubber mat on top of the Linex to protect it. Weird, I know, and now I have a Decked on top of the Linex, with the factory rubber mat on the Decked. Sort of a rabbit hole for me.

Expert308I'm looking at getting a new truck in a couple of years and that's the first thing that will be added if it doesn't come that way. I had the heavy rubber mat in my old F250 and the bed rusted in places where water got trapped under the mat.

AnubismpI always do it and have not regretted it so far. Shop around for a good shop and a good price.

TannerBoylIt was worth it to me. I had my 2012 Tundra Sprayed a few weeks after I bought it. It had held up very well over the last 9 years. I haven’t put it through the ringer, but I have hauled gravel and other things that would damage the regular finish. I haven’t noticed any real wear to it.
I prefer spray-on liners to plastic liners because moisture can get trapped under the plastic ones.
On a side note, congratulations on the F-150! It’s a great truck and I’m sure you’ll be very happy with it!

P-220Yes, we had it in a 2006 F-150 and have it in a 2018 2500. Money well spent, IMO\.
