My wife dragged me to see Vanilla Sky. It sucked pretty badly IIRC.

Mary Shelly's Frankenstein. Directed by Kenneth Branagh with DeNiro as the monster. It tried so hard, but we just laughed in it's face and I have used it as a baseline for awful movies ever since.

So you haven't seen Bram Stoker's Dracula, I take it?

Some of Keanu's finest work... or not.

To be fair, it was quite successful and still has quite a good score on RT, but I don't think it has stood up to the passage of time very well. At all.

I predict that there will be many suggestions and statements about the law made here, and some of them will be spectacularly wrong. - jhe888

Just had to let you guys know these are the worst two movies ever made:

The Shape of Things to Come

Godzilla - 1985

My tongue swore, but my mind was still unpledged.

I actually like that one, Gary Oldman carried that entire movie for everyone. And I don't think it took itself as seriously as MS Frankenstien tried to.

Tom Hanks in "The man with one red shoe"

Another Hanks classic "Joe vs. the volcano"

How he even has a holly wood career after these two movies defies all that is right in the universe.

talk about a waste of film stock.

It is a classic, a cult classic as a matter of fact, and not a bad movie. I watch it whenever I run across it. Don't tell me that people are taking seriously a film like Joe versus the Volcano? It is exacty what it intended to be - harmless fluff with a couple of laughs.

How about something like Eraserhead? Is it a bad movie or is it just different.

Eraserhead is an exceedingly bizarre film. You cannot judge a film like that by applying normal standards. I wouldn't call it a bad film, since Lynch intended this film to be quite bizarre. So, no, I wouldn't say that Eraserhead deserves to be categorized as a bad film.

It's still being aired more than 40 years on. It's got something going for it, wouldn't you say? Such as the cadre of loyal fans of the work of David Lynch.

Oh, that M. Night Shamalamadingdong guy. Yeah, wow, he excels at suckiness. Every film he makes is shit.

He thinks he's Val Lewton. He's not.

I was thinking "Hey, Anthony Quinn was pretty funny in that film", (which was suprising because one does not associate Anthony Quinn with comedy) but you were actually referring to a film from His Royal Suckness. I haven't seen it but I say with the greatest confidence that it sucks badly and caused people to storm the theater box office and demand back their money.
