As s kid I loved a sandwich with peanut butter, sliced banana, and marshmallow cream. I haven’t had one since I was a kid and kind of want one again.

I also liked a peanut butter sandwich with bacon. Haven’t had that for a long time as well.

What unusual sandwiches did you like or still like?

Peanut butter and pickle. Dad suggested it, I thought it sounded nasty. He made me one. I love 'em to this day. Cool

That leads me to peanut butter and banana. The Lovely Girlfriend says it's not right if there's not mayo on it. I say it's nasty if there is. Your thoughts, guys?

God bless America.

As a kid, I liked jelly sandwiches and peanut butter sandwiches.
I never liked pb&j sandwiches though.
Guess I was a weirdo.

White bread, butter and jam. A simple favorite. Haven’t had one in ages. Might need to make one.

Those are good! Even better with a slice of tomato.

Peanut butter and pickle sounds strange, but I am willing to try it. Any specific type of pickle? I am thinking a bread n’ butter pickle.

I don’t think I could handle peanut butter and mayo together….lol.

Growing up we made our own headcheese ... ate on white bread, tomato, lettuce with mayo and mustard. Still love it.

This is an unusual sandwich, but not one I would eat today. As a kid my parents would not give me money for lunch at school except for one day and I always picked pizza day.

The sandwich I got everyday was mustard with a slice of velveta cheese. The drink was a Coke wrapped in aluminum foil and the in newspaper. There was no refrigerator available back then at school so that was my daily lunch.

While in the hospital in Rekyavik Iceland, I was given sandwich of Icelandic bread, hand churned butter and banana slices.

What a marvelous taste.

When I was a small child living in the orphanage, I snuck into the kitchen and hid under the sink, and the nice ladies working in the kitchen would sneak a folded piece of bread with peanut butter mixed with maple syrup to me.

I did that. A member here gave me some of the apple butter he makes and I ate it on bread as a sandwich.
