So I'm trying to find out when a web page was modified to have different information on it. I'm ordering a model kit from squadron.com. Back when I ordered it, they had a sale going on. I ordered the item and then a few days later I got an email from them saying that the sale was for only "in stock items" and the item page itself now says "no coupons or free shipping". I'm trying to find out when they modified the page to say that because I'm fairly certain that it didn't say any of that when I ordered it. It's not a deal breaker but something to keep in mind when considering doing business with them again. When you placed the order, you should have received an immediate email from the store. What information concerning price was listed in the email? They seem to be using Volusion as an online ecommerce solution. I'm not familiar with the platform, but the system certainly should have sent an email confirmation immediately with a confirmation. You can check WayBack Machine at https://archive.org/web/ to see if they took a snapshot of the website at the time of the sale. It would be unlikely they did. Looks like you'll find snapshots from May 11, May 25 and June 26 there. Got the email. It shows the original price of $69.99 and the 25% off at $17.50. Subtotal $52.49, no tax and $12.99 for shipping. Grand total of $65.48. I can see why they wouldn't want to fulfill the order because I'd be under almost $5 in the end but how is that my fault? I checked archive.org with no luck. I'm hoping that there might be another way. On Amazon especially, I take a screenshot of the description for any large purchase, or a purchase supplied by a third party. The Amazon descriptions are so often wrong or misleading, this gives me ammunition for getting a refund or newer item. If you don't do this, you will often find the description has been updated by the time you receive your product. When in doubt, mumble

Sorry, I'm pretty confident you're out-of-luck. But I just more carefully read your reply. The email says 25 percent off the $69.99 price and they are saying they will not honor that? That’s correct. Error on their side and they will not honor it. I’ll make sure they don’t get my business after this. Thank you Very little ![]() |
THis is a good idea, I bought a hose on Amazon with lifetime warranty, it busted, sent them a message regarding replacement, they replied with an offer for discount saying there is no lifetime warranty. Go to the product page as they still sell it and they had modified the page removing the lifetime warranty jargon. From now on, snapshot, especially before you ask for your money back...
