She's in Maple Knoll, within poster SPD's juristiction. Back in my ill spent youth, it was also the home for unwed mothers. When asked how my mother is doing, I respond that she's in the home for unwed mothers. That was back in the day when a young girl got herself in a family way, she went to visit her aunt for a few months.
Anyway, the aide is apparently corrected and doesn't even work that floor. Just shops there, apparently. My wife kind of solved the wheelchair problem by storing it in the closet inside the door. Out of sight, out of mind.
All the residents/inmates park their chairs, power or otherwise out in the hallways. They had the foresight to install power outlets all over the hall. That works just fine.
Most of the aides are minority. Go figure. Their views on things take a different perspective than I'm used to seeing.

I suggest clearly marking on the chairs she owns "PROPERTY OF"... , if you haven't done so already.

h2oysSounds like when my mom was still alive...she was unable to move, arms, legs, etc.
She was also unable to talk other than very faint "yes, no, right, and maybe".
An aide decided she liked moms plain band wedding ring and said; "I like that ring", and took it off of my Moms finger.
We never got the ring back and the Aide promptly quit when approached by mgmt of the nursing home.

IcabodI suspect the facility “acquires” thinks such as walkers and wheelchairs. A patient passes and the family has no interest in removal and disposal of the item.
The nursing home could have multiple unlabeled wheelchairs that the “own.”

YooperSigsWhen my Mother got pregnant during WWII, she ended up at Maple Knoll. And from my research, so did lots of others.
Learning about Mary Knoll was eye opening for me!

This is very true. The nursing home my MIL was in and the one my parents were in both had a huge supply of lift chairs, walkers, manual and power wheel chairs, etc.

Us too. At first mgmt said it must have fallen off. I guess the pictures of the indentation where the ring used to be proved that wrong. Heck, my mom could not even use a fork/tv remote, etc. I would get so angry when visiting her and BETV was always on at loud levels.
