Not that kind of lids.

I have a plethora of #10 cans and would like to use them to store items (nuts and bolts and whatever else) now that the original contents have been removed. Problem is, when I bought them (for what was in them...crushed tomatoes, fruit, etc...) they didn't come with the plastic lid. Just a sealed #10 can.

If memory serves, most of these cans used to come with a plastic lid to use once you unsealed the can. No longer...apparently.

I've searched Amazon and struck out, and did a cursory Google search, but am not really having great luck.

Does anyone know of a place to pick up a bunch of these?

Sure. LDS pantry, either in person or by Internet order, and BTW they are the cheapest place to get them.

If you can't find them let me know and I'll send you some. I live close to a LDS pantry.

And I think I might have seen some in WINCO Foods in the long term foods section.

I bought this set of reusable can lids a couple of months ago. They’re great! Translucent, so that you can see what’s in the can. Fits securely. Has a small tab to make it easier to get the lid off. The large one fits 27oz cans of Glory brand Southern Style Collard Greens.

I have a whole milk crate full of Talenti gelato containers (love that stuff). They are hard see-through plastic with screw on lids. Also the large containers that came with Sunsweet prunes in them (white plastic with snap on lids). Also Altoid tins. The ones in the milk crate are stock spares I've not already put into service for nuts and bolts, screws, and other loose items.

Didn't mean to flake on the thread.

Thanks guys. I'll get ahold of the Mormons tomorrow and see if they can send me a bunch.

The lids you are looking for which the LDS store houses sell are made by Berry Plastics. They come in cases of 549. If you want to mail order them, they are $5.00 for a pack of 10. Shipping used to be a flat $3.00.

I have some extras and I will send a bunch to you if you email me the address you want them sent to.

About a year ago these were ten cents each at the local LDS storehouse. I will try to check and see if they still carry them.
