My wife and I are planning a trip to Mammoth Cave NP next May with the park being the primary destination. I'm aware of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, but would appreciate any other suggestions if we are spending an extra day in the area. We tend to enjoy more nature based sites rather than shopping, night life, etc. Thanks,

The Mammoth Cave web page has these links at the bottom: https://www.kentuckytourism.co...eautiful-small-town/ https://www.kentuckytourism.co...is-world-experience/ https://www.harrodsburgky.com/...sm&utm_campaign=fy20 Not sure how far away those are, but they did sound interesting. flashguy Texan by choice, not accident of birth

Linclon's birthplace is about an hour north. Also if you want to do cave tours make sure you make reservations in advance.

If you like bourbon, then plan a tour of distilleries in and around Louisville. Buffalo Trace and Woodford Reserve have great tours. Bourbon is made from at least 51% corn, so it’s natural.

Bardstown/Clermont/Laredo are about an hour north of Mammoth Cave. Jim Beam is right off I65 in Clermont. Maker's Mark is in Laredo. Bardstown has Barton 1792, Willett, Heaven Hill's Bourbon Heritage Center, Lux Row, Bardstown Bourbon Company, and other bourbon related tourist attractions. My Old Kentucky Home is also in town.
