The hardest part about shopping with my wife at the TJ's in SLC is not being caught looking at nearly every single woman who is walking around in there. My word, there are some pretty broads that shop there. ~Alan Acta Non Verba NRA Life Member (Patron) God, Family, Guns, Country Men will fight and die to protect women... because women protect everything else. ~Andrew Klavan

Same. It's one of Mrs DFs favorite stores. They sell the spice combinations that I use for my famous grilled steaks. Secret recipe. I'd tell you but then.....DEATH by bunga bunga!!!! You’re a lying dog-faced pony soldier

Wow. The entire first page, save Rogues, of posts is quit sadly opinionated. The only thing the haters missed was, for some reason the TJ, biz model has always picks shitty parking set ups. Jeez guys, at least put that in to the mix with all the bullshit you threw out there. For this family, we love TJs. It’s not over priced unless you shop at the dollar store. Every few of them sell beer and wine. Hooray. For our family, they supply lots of good solid meal choices. Fast make tasty too. Option vary by proximity and Socio-economic location. And all of the staff in 10 or so TJ I have had a pleasure of shopping at all where happy to help. Even the blue haired ones... Don’t be put off by the occasional pajama people, I see lots of nascar shirt/pajama people out there too. They are as friendly as the non-nascar folks.

The way I always described my local Trader Joe's... Have you ever seen that person in the grocery store, blocking the aisle with their cart and themselves, in their own universe, totally unaware that there are other shoppers in the store? Well picture everyone in the store is that person. _____________________________________________________ Sliced bread, the greatest thing since the 1911.

Pretty sure none of those people know what the hell theyre talking about. I’m gonna lump them into the “let’s hate shit just for the sake of hating shit” crowd.

I go periodically, only because the one closest to me is out of the way from my normal travels or I'd go more often They do a very good job at portioning the premade meals packaged for 2 or 3 people, it is truly enough for that many people. unlike most that may say it feeds 4 (if they are a bird) but really only enough for 2 regular adults and your still hungry I find the quality to be very good I do NOT find things to be over priced at all, very competitive, and often better than most grocery stores The house branded stuff is very good I've found, significantly better than the generic selections at mass grocers Ive never seen an employee not smiling, they are always in a good mood and happy to assist. Im sure there are some exceptions, but Ive yet to experience it. My understanding is its a very good company to work for and they take care of their people, it shows ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Live today as if it may be your last and learn today as if you will live forever

so, wine makers generally keep the amount made to a certain level, as in a high in maker will only make a certain number of cases to keep the price up, as well as their status, so the excess juice usually sold on the market according to one of the wine guys I knew when I was in the business, Coppola (very good wine) had a couple of banner years of grape production, they made their quota, and sold the rest of the juice to a bottler/maker/blend guy that bottled it for TJ's, juice is generally cheap, and they still make money at the low price, turns out it was (surprise) a banner year(s) for flavor as well, so of course the word got out that $2 chuck was a very good buy, and damn tasty, of course, it is still decent, but being commodity bought and sourced, it is not always from the same source,, and as everyone knows, not all years are good years for wine, https://chandlersfirearms.com/chesterfield-armament/

To get their attention you gotta' say - excuse me or get the hell out of the way. But TJ does have low sodium Pesto and low sodium Tuna at a reasonable price and the TJ Potato Chips cooked in Olive Oil are.....YUMMY. ********* "Some people are alive today because it's against the law to kill them".

IMO the least favorite of the grocery stores I've been in. Don't care for the layout, or product selection. Really dislike the checkouts. Won't go back. On the other hand I like Aldis just fine. My favorite...………….Walmart.

Try the Korma Fish Curry. TJ needs to bottle that sauce and sell separately, that stuff must have crack in it.
There's only one market I've seen that's comparable, it's a regional chain here in NorCal, Nugget Markets. Their employees, like TJ, are helpful, diligent, many are long-time workers and I've heard nothing bad about their employer.

A personal favorite. I'm not a big fan of most desserts or other overly sweet concoctions, but Peppermint Joe Joes are one of the few that does it for me. Not too sweet. Just right.

I get exactly TWO things at this joint. First, there is a refrigerated spicy pesto sauce called Zhoug, which is delicious. Try it, come back and thank me; a sort of chimichurri sauce that's spicy. And second, they have jars of stemmed Amarena cherries that I use in my Manhattans, for cheap. Much less expensive than the Luxardo cherries. Best regards, Nick. Because cheese, snack foods, beer, and wine has a political view? It is a privately held company owned by Germans. It is the same owners as Aldi. No political view I can see. Good prices great service. The clerks know their stuff. The fish is mute, expressionless. The fish doesn't think because the fish knows everything.
