What Is Up With This "Worldwide Energy Crisis" I Keep Seeing Now???
WTF?

Did the world suddenly run out of oil, natural gas and coal when Sleepy Joe became Prez?

All I keep hearing is worldwide energy crisis! worldwide energy crisis! worldwide energy crisis! and "it's coming here"

WHY?

Weren't we energy independent under Trump? And low prices for all that?

This has all the feeling of another bullshit manufactured "crisis" in order to force an agenda on people.

Remember that brainless Joe is a globalist puppet. This is indeed a global attack on all non-leftist countries.

They want to jack up the price of all fossil fuels to try to change the weather.

Not kidding, either. They think higher prices will decrease demand and thus save the planet.

Same thing under Obazmo, cut US production, limit fuel to foreign country supplies, raise prices until it hurts,

Problem is, we don't have enough supply of E-Hicles, nor the charging points not to mention inadequate supply of power.

They are hurting middle class America with $5 a gallon prices on the horizon, $10 in Commiefornia. Poor lower income folks are SOL.

But hey, Green America, in spite of the fact that most of the asian continent is putting out more pollution than our measures can offset..

There's always a crisis and they always hurt the poor the most but the poor keep supporting the crisis makers. They never learn and the politicians will promise to offset the high energy prices with more welfare.

The left around the world keep pushing the narrative that we are going green and will completely be out of fossil fuels. That is not happening anytime soon. I tell people that our current power grid cannot handle the majority of people on electric cars and now Musk is stating the same. Oil demand was real low last year during covid and oil supplies diminished and now as we are moving out of it oil demands have taken off.

If you want to read real info on why we are where we are look at a few articles here: https://oilprice.com

I am capitalizing off energy costs. If oil hits $200 a barrel and uranium continues to skyrocket I may be able to retire early from the profits off that. I am looking forward to $200 oil for the first time in my life.

There actually is due to choices that have been made in the industry. Read at the link I posted and research some other places online. There is a reason China is doing this: china energy

You will never mine enough nickel and lithium to replace even the remaining 98% of ice automotive fleet just in the United States.

This green bullshit will destroy the planet long before any thing fossil fuel related would do anything seriously negative to it.

The facts support that.

If you think green is good. You have bought their bs hook, line and sinker.

and no, I do not work in an oil related field.

And to allow producers yet another chance to cause a skyrocketing in fuel prices. As I recall, gas prices were declining while Trump was in office, and we were even exporting petroleum products. Now, prices continue to rise and will continue to do so. How much of that is due to Biden, or to regulatory agencies is another issue.

Concur, those goobers all embraced the green initiative and shut down viable generation sites, to instead build wind farms, etc.

China in particular is hurting for coal, now they're competing for the same fuel source along with Russian natural gas which of course is being manipulated. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch. Wink

you made my case exactly

make certain choices to fit an agenda and you can manufacture a crisis about just about anything

oh my god, you can't get 1/4-20 castle nuts any more...must be a shortage...its a crisis

China had apparently banned Australian coal recently but they are in such a bind now, I saw an article about how there’s footage of coal now being offloaded in China from Australian ships.

I’m a bit confused about that, I thought China had huge amounts of their own coal?

They have a lot of coal, they just can't mine it faster than they are building coal fired power plants. I believe I read somewhere they are currently on track to commission almost 1 plant per week this year.

China also has a bedrock problem, that being granite. They have vast amounts of Natgas but it's under such large quantities of granite that it's impractical to pursue, like the U.S. does with fracking.

Video posted on the forum a few days ago explained this. China has been changing over from the older coal-fired electricity producing plants to newer ones to comply with "Green" mandates. The newer ones are cleaner and more efficient...but they require cleaner burning coals, such as the coal mined from Australia. The native coal in China is the dirtier coal and the newer plants don't burn this type well and are less efficient when trying to burn it.

In the last couple years of his career, my Dad, a trained electronics engineer was laid off and couldn't find an employer willing to hire him when he was so close to retirement, so he finally took a job out of state at a Wyoming coal fired electricity producing plant, just for a couple years to finish out his career.

He learned a lot about coal fired plants while working there and showed me the stack scrubbers they used to reduce emissions to comply with mandates. He also explained that much of the coal mined in Wyoming is a cleaner burning coal, and various coal fired plants around the U.S. increasingly bought Wyoming coal to go "Green".

Where I live in Colorado we have local sources of coal, however it used to be a common sight to see huge trainloads of Wyoming coal brought in to our local coal fired plants...that is, until the city council shut down our perfectly working clean burning local coal fired electric plant that produced inexpensive electricity. Apparently a coal fired plant producing flumes of low emission water vapor was considered unsightly in a city that grew around the plant and depends on tourism.

Now we get the 'privilege' of paying for more expensive electricity that is %20 + produced by 'renewable'' sources. Roll Eyes
