Bullitt Mustang
Congrats, that's a nice car! Are you going to track its build and delivery using the VIN?

You'll have fun running up and down Hwy 93 from Missoula to Polson! Cool

That car looks fun. I've been one of those guys with a split personality. My farm means that my daily driver is a F350 cc pickup. But my fun cars are a 4wd STI (built) and an older cobra. in the summer there is nothing more fun than a RWD mustang. just saying.

What a shame. I know that they make auto transmissions faster than what a lot of us non-professional drivers shift. But what is the fun of a high HP car in an auto?

drive one of the 10 speeds and you will know. Steeda has gotten one of the auto cars into the 10.70s in the 1/4 mile without a poweradder. The auto cars really come alive with some bolt ons and a tune. you get to a certain point and it gets hard to row the gears fast enough in a synchronized stick. and the stick cars have a hard time pulling the same 60 foot times the autos do. besides, when you can make autos leave like this why would you need a manual....

^ Autos are great in a straight line. Corners mean 3 pedals and corners are more fun in my eyes.

Congrats on your new ride. Try not to break it too fast.

If you drive an auto in a car available with a stick, you are missing the point of driving.

If its a car meant to be driven aggressively, with passion (this is really the most important part), a manual tranny is needed. It really aids your connection to the drive, the vehicle, and the road. While computers and automatics can definitely beat a person in a straight line, they can’t see the road ahead and anticipate what is about to be needed like the human brain. Down shifting off throttle ahead of a corner you know you’re about to smash is just something they can’t do. I love my manual tranny Z4M - 8000rpm redline I6 with a 6spd manual - its my happy place on country mountain roads. There are many faster cars out there, but that one can keep me in plenty of trouble. I’ve never thought about it needing more power.

Congrats, I think the Bullitt really compliments the new Mustang body style.
Should only be available in green, IMO.

With a few exceptions, I agree.
Like the VW GTI/R, where the DSG is widely regarded higher than the 6MT.
Same with the Mitsu EVO X, which IIRC, got a 5MT as a bit of an afterthought.

Not entirely. I love driving a stick. But due to an old left knee injury (yeah, I was kind of stupid when I was young) I can't manage a stick in commuting traffic any more. So my new Challenger has an automatic instead of the 6-spd manual, but you know what? It's made driving FUN again, stick or no stick. Cool

I think if you're in an auto, you're just along for the ride by steering. Big Grin

Not more than MSRP; maybe less depending if my X-plan pricing is valid on a Bullitt. I will do my best to burn up the rear tires before the first snow falls.

And yes, she's a keeper Smile

That is great. Awesome car.
