I knew some of these features, but not all.

“When Steve Jobs launched the first iPhone, he described it as ‘literally five years ahead of any other mobile phone’ - and the device’s slick touchscreen was a big part of that.

But if you’ve got your hands full or you’re in a hurry, there are now a lot of functions you can unlock on the iPhone without touching the screen. …”

Click this DailyMail link to see features. Some useful, some not so much.

I did not know the back tap feature existed. Just checked in my iPhone 13 and lo and behold, it is there.

To set up Back Tap, go to Settings > Accessibility > Back Tap
Is it too much to ask for the author of the article to get it right? It's Settings > Accessibility > Touch > Back Tap

Voice Control is a far better hands-off iPhone control function. There are more commands available than you can ever remember. Things like opening apps to manipulating text in a text field, shake device, lock screen, scroll up/down, volume up/down, etc. You can even create custom commands. When you go to the Voice Control page, there is a full list of categorized commands. The one I do not see is unlock phone. Perhaps Back Tap is the way to go for that.

I keep my home screen free of any app icons, bar the Dock. Do not need them when you can open any app with Voice Control.

Found under Settings/Accessibility in newer iOS versions. Older versions locate it under Settings/General/Accessibility.

When in doubt, mumble

The "force restart" function was a new one for me. But, I have never had an iPhone freeze/refuse to restart either.
