I typically read about 3-5 books per month. Or sometimes just 1-2 really large ones, such as 1000+ page history tomes. Call it roughly 2000 pages per month, depending on what I have going on.

This includes both traditional reading of text when feasible, as well as listening to audiobooks while driving or doing chores.

I usually have about 3 books going at any given time, including a more serious/studious book (such as history or heavy fiction) as well as a lighter option (like sci-fi, action, or humor), plus an audiobook, so I can pick based on what I'm doing or my mood.

If listening to audiobooks is reading then I do a bunch of books a year.

Actual reading of books is zero.

I used to read voraciously. Now it's mostly to fill time while waiting at appointments and such.

Even when I was reading regularly, I rarely read "serious" stuff. I read to be entertained unless I have a specific need to learn or understand something.

With Winter coming on, my reading will pick up a little. I have several paperbacks I grabbed that looked interesting.

I am a remote "customer" of the county public library, via downloads to my Kindle e-reader. I guess I average a book / week. Mostly current fiction, with the occasional classic.

I usually read several books at a time. But I enjoy reading series books all together. Meaning I will check out books 1-3 at once and go back for the others vs remind three diff books within the same two week period

Easily 5+ books a month. I have over 1,000 on my e-reader and the local library bookmoble delivers to my community center twice a week.

I like textbooks and religious history. I also sometimes read self improvement books. I’m reading Atomic Habits at the moment.

If you want to start reading something, Adam Savage’s book Every Tool’s a Hammer is both entertaining and informative. I bet you’d get through it.

The only way to develop your mind is to read. When you read a book, your mind utilizes an unbelievable amount of power. If you want to be physically buffed, you must exercise regularly and consistently. If you want to increase your intellect, you must read.

I've been reading books regularly since I was a little kid. I can sit down in the evening with a new book and read through to finish it at 5 or 6 am.
One time a middle aged repairman from the phone company came to hookup my phone. When he saw my bookcase he asked "Did you read all those?" I said there's some reference books but yes I've read all the rest. Then proudly said "I haven't read a book since I was in high school." I thought that's not something I'd brag about.

I read between 15-20 books a year. My wife does that many a month.

I only read physical books. My wife mixes physical, kindle and audio books.

I used to read a a fair amount. But now my eyes won't let me.

I read each evening to wash the day out of my brain. Enjoy leaning even at my old age. Stopped watching TV in high school and most movies seem to be geared to 15 year olds.

I read as much as I can. According to my kindle app, I’m at 96 books so far this year. And since I drive a lot for work, I listen to them as well. At over 20 days of audiobooks this year.

As a kid and through school and early adulthood i hated reading. Got started in my late 20's, early 30's when a friend gave me a Travis McGee book (John D MacDonald) to try and fill some down time I had. Been hooked ever since.

For me it depends on the subject matter. I hate reading tech manuals and instructional stuff.

Currently, I am reading a book on Edgar Allan Poe's short stories. It's hard to read but I want to finish it.

Years ago, I got in the habit of reading 1 to 2 novels per business trip (ie. at airports, airplanes, and hotels) and that hasn't changed. However, I used to travel 1x to 3x per month, but now I travel about 6x per year. As a result, I read fewer novels a year.

I'm still a voracious reader, but most of the time it's Sigforum and news instead of novels.

Avid reader, several books a month. I read actual books or with my Kindle, a lot of variety.

The only thing I did in high school that was worth a damn, was to take a speed reading course. If reading a typical novel length book and it keeps my interest, its like watching TV for me.
