Maybe add a garbage disposal to the system? Big Grin

If no power you go old school wipe and flush. I never thought one of these would be in my house, but now I won't have a house without one.

Yes, sir. Apparently helps keep things cleaner and more slippery before the flush. The Japanese are on another level with their toilet engineering.

I should have gone for the one that auto lifts and closes the lid when you walk in the room. But, I thought that was just showing off to your guests at that point. Big Grin

We use TP and Kirkland "flushable" wet wipes, but city constantly says not to flush. This will negate the wet wipes and greatly reduce TP use.

Who has time for a shower every time they poop?

Maybe a dumb question, but don't you still use TP to dry off?

Yep, but just a couple squares, or wait for the blow dry.

It’s very interesting that this thread on bidet seats for toilets has come up now…all joking aside.

Mrs. Mark in Michigan and I had our Florida condo renovated this past summer and our contractor convinced us to install a Moen ET2200 ‘eToilet’. It has many of the functions listed in previous posts…night light, auto seat raise/lower. Auto flush, pre-rinse, and a remote control for wash and blow dry. We were a little bit afraid to use it at first…but it works well and cleans good. I, personally, feel much cleaner from using the bidet functions than I do by using TP alone.

Best regards,

We have had a stand alone bidet for 41 years, when I built our first house, then after retiring and remodeling in the second house.A bidet toilet
seat pales in comparison to a bidet fixture. Just this Plumber’s happy ass opinion.

I got this at the beginning of Covid: Ohmigo non-electric heated bidet. Brondell bought the company and discontinued it, but has complete seats that use the same non-electric but hot water wash system.

These guys know:

I’m in the can’t live without one camp. I started a similar thread a few years back if memory serves, maybe it was someone else.. anyway. My back is so jacked up after 4 surgeries, it’s getting to the point where a bidet is mandatory due to twisting limitations. I bought one made by a company called BioBidet. It’s had to be removed and have warranty service done and it’s starting to crap out again. No joke. The concept, I’m 100% a believer but I’ll be going with another manufacturer when mines dead.

I also had a friend describe a bidet like this. If you have shit on your arm… The thing is, your bunghole has ONLY one job, it is an exit for waste. You won’t be bumping into anyone with your asshole so wiping isn’t a problem unless you try to use it to empty the dishwasher!

Regarding toilet paper, I actually probably use more.

This has been my and Mrs. Kmitch’s experience. We seem to use a lot more getting dry.
(We don’t have a heated/drying option. It was a cheap purchase)

Well I guess refer to the Redd Foxx skit. Big Grin. But actually I want to feel clean regardless if my asshole is bumping into someone. But if you haven't had a bidet you may not see it that way. I had no desire for one until I was in Italy and had one in the AirBnB room. Once I used it I never felt clean without it. Some of that may be psychological.

Bidet war story:
After arriving at Aviano AFB Italy, I moved into an off base apartment. The bathroom was nearly a religious experience! All marble and it had a small balcony that when the doors were open, you could see the Dolomite mountains as you sat on the throne.Best bathroom view ever! Across from the toilet was a bidet with hot and cold water aboard. I was completely clueless as to why the bathroom had such an item and its potential use. So when sitting on the throne I would turn on the water and put my bare feet in the bidet. It did a great job of washing my tootsies! But, when I told some of friends about the cool foot washer I had in my bathroom, I became the laughing stock of my squadron!
I miss my bidet desperately and if I had one, I might still use it to wash my feet!

Another can't live without it. I've been through three or four brands that just didn't last. My current one is the Toto washlette, have three of them in our house and after like 4-5 years they are still going strong. A little pricier than some, but buy once cry once. Very feature rich, and durable.

There is no poop water dripping down anywhere. You adjust the jet to hit you right on the bullseye and it just falls right into the toilet, it doesn't really get anywhere except where it does work. 30 sec of drying and then a couple squares that dry only and you feel clean as a whistle. Until you try it, you wont understand it's a next level of clean, second only to a shower.

The sale at Costco removes some of the sting of the price.

I use to think they were stupid. Now I feel like a caveman if I have to use a regular toilet.
