Years ago, late seventies or more probably early eighties, a A-26 with mechanical troubles landed at the Yuba County (Ca) airport. Four guys to out, called a cab and were never heard from again. Traces of pot were found in the plane, although the working theory was that it was to expensive/ inefficient for a pot smuggler. So maybe used for higher value cargo? It sat abandoned for years on the ramp. Last I knew of it was that it had been restored to Korean War era night bomber colors and was on the airshow circuit. Must have been quite the title search. Maybe it had been LBJ's. OZ | |||
