The effects of long-term cannabis use have not been adequately studied because it's been kept under the table until recently. Now that widespread use is common and out in the open we will begin to see the harm.

"Some things are apparent. Where government moves in, community retreats, civil society disintegrates and our ability to control our own destiny atrophies. The result is: families under siege; war in the streets; unapologetic expropriation of property; the precipitous decline of the rule of law; the rapid rise of corruption; the loss of civility and the triumph of deceit. The result is a debased, debauched culture which finds moral depravity entertaining and virtue contemptible."
-- Justice Janice Rogers Brown

Probably fake news spread by the Anti-marijuana bunch.

Meanwhile, eating at the Y can transmit HPV which can cause throat cancer.

Could also be that the group isn't paying proper attention to their health habits.

I don't know about the pot but I think smoking anything burning can't be good for your health.

reading the abstract I understand what they're getting at but I disagree with the conclusion. what they're showing is:

Issue A is frequently preceded by symptom B, THC use causes symptom B so we'll assume issue A.

the thing here is Issue A is effectively the tissues lining the blood vessels don't contract and dilate "appropriately" however that's inline with the desired effects of THC, a general body relaxation, there is no reason it wouldn't affect these functions as well.

That said I can't disagree with hberttmank here.

A vape running filtered through water is about as pure as it gets. Zero smoke or particulates. Theres also oil and alcohol extractions. You don’t have to smoke it these days.

I imagine a good campfire under the stars could fall under this too w/ the burning wood so you may as well have a couple tokes anyway, knowing you're going to die of heart disease regardless.

Nobody has ever died from cannabis use in the history of man (last time I checked).
Almost 500 people a day die from alcohol in the US.

This is a nothing burger.
