Headed to OCNJ next week for a week of vacation and plan to do some surf and possibly back bay fishing at the 9th Street Bridge Fishing Pier.
Do any South Jersey SF members know how the fishing is right now? I'm hoping it's better than previous years.

I'll ask my brother who fishes the area.
I'm the next island down in Wildwood Crest if you want to stop over. The wife bartends at a beach bar and I'm sure she'll give you some Sigforum drink passes.

Ramius, where in the Crest are you located? I don't mean to hijack the thread, but one of my boyhood buds has a place on Hand avenue to which I have an open invitation.

No much going on unless its shark fishing off the beach after dark. Tog from the rocks is open but I've not seen reports or tried. Fluke is good in inlets outgoing tide. Waiting for fall striper and blue run.

Don't live there anymore, but grew up in Lavalette, still have friends and family in the area. Too late in the summer for Snapper/Bluefish runs. Might get lucky with a Striper or 2, and weirdly enough, folks have been pulling in small (2-4 foot) Sand Sharks down by LBI on dusk/dawn patrol.

Fluke Bonita and Blues have been running despite the storms...

Thanks!
I'd love to take you up on it, but I will be busy chasing an 18 month old and a 3.5 year old around all week. Fishing will most likely be like 5:30-7:30 am before anyone is up for the day.
