The original video is down, but it is viewable on ************
Looks to me like the guy was on his cell phone, LEO slams him down. LEO then looks up, sees he is being recorded. Looks bad to me, what is the SF verdict on this?

Please, this is a serious matter. One man is dead. IMO if you are going to take someone down to a hard surface, and he is not resisting, you have to perform the action professionally.
I have experience in wrestling as well as jiu jitsu, and have taken many person down to a mat. IMO the LEO screwed up, trying to get some other perspective on this.

What in the fuck is your problem? Don't ever again post anything like this in this forum. If this is the kind of thing we can expect from you, you are in the wrong forum.
c1steve, members are responsible for verifying the accuracy and validity of anything they post here. It appears you failed to do this. Before you post anything this inflammatory, make sure it's true. If you can't verify it, don't post it.
This kind of thing does none of us any favors. The initial post did not help us and the response of inciting to murder certainly does not help us.
The guy was released with no charges? Public intoxication, it appears.
That was a powerful slam - guy is sort of lucky to have walked away. Article mentioned he has a "bleed", which is actually pretty serious unless the word "bleeding" got lost in translation.

I just read the info on the link. The injured party was drunk, had been yelling something to others watching the fire. He did survive.
In my experience from visiting British Columbia dozens of times, is that .gov officials are sometimes abuse their power. Sort of like the reputation that the FDA has down here, too much power and they do not care what anyone thinks. LEOs in the US tend to be much more professional.
Parabellum,
Yes, I understand. Tried to follow the link then tried a inet search. I too was caught up in the incorrect description on SH.

Thats a bit too much force for a trashed person IMO. I am sure they will look at the officers file and make the call from there.
I get the immediate anger that kicks in when dealing with shit-bags all day but thats the job and why risk you badge/pension/freedom over something like this. I used to work night audit in a busy downtown hotel and constantly had to deal with the druggies, drunks and entitles assholes. Hell even I was fried after that and my patience was nil. Thank God for the city police moonlighting at our hotel to get the people out when I asked to have them removed. Point is I get it.
All comes down to police being over worked and fried. At least a lot of it.

Next time you get "caught up", expect to face disciplinary action.
john crusher, next time is the last time. Consider yourself warned.
