His performing days seem to be over also, based on his performance at the last music awards show.

Probably getting hard for ol' Willie to even inhale and exhale any longer. He is a interesting character no doubt.

Big Willie fan here;

First time i saw him live was at the Buffalo Bowl at Canyon State U on one hot saturday in the late 70’s. Saw him several more times throughout the 80’s.

Have watched everything i could find on AXSTV, concerts and awards shows and interviews with Dan Rather etc. his recent stuff is painful to watch. It makes my lungs and chest hurt listening to him talk or talk sing. Every breath he takes is labored and sounds like his last breath he is going to take.

As much as i like him i am of the feeling that he and others who do these reunions tours just shouldn't do them. AXSTV has them all and with the exception of Eddie Money these concerts are really bad. Atleast the Money Man had all his kids for backup in his band which covered up for his failed voice. To bad we just lost Eddie and have been expecting Willie to go any time now.

Still enjoy watching Willie do his card trick on youtube. An old classic that never gets old. Willie also used to tell a funny story about running into one of his houses on fire to retrieve his pot.

I like his song righting but dislike his performances. He's definitely written some good stuff.

Mid 70s. Keef also quit drinking hard alcohol last year, indulging in the occasional beer or glass of wine. The guy for most of his adult life had a drink in his hand during his waking hours.

Has he considered that his breathing problems now are the result of smoking so much (weed or tobacco--both are detrimental)?

I’m seeing him Jan 4 in Bakersfield. I just hope he’s still alive and kicking by then.

If he makes it there , be prepared for a lot of talking the words,
He was just here , last summer and a buddy said that he only hit about 16 notes , in the whole concert

By my calculations, he'll have the IRS paid off in only 47 more years.
