trapper189Hate to admit, but I’m a little cold this morning
It’s 35 outside, 70 inside, and I just bumped the thermostats to 72.
It’s not like the time my dad dragged me to the Horicon Marsh at 4am in clothes that didn’t fit and were completely lacking otherwise.
Nor is it like the time I rode my KZ550 home from Minnesota and got rained on from Madison to Milwaukee without rain gear. I poured water out of my boots, my hands were stained black from the dye in my gloves, and even in a hot shower I didn’t stop shivering for over a half an hour.
Or the time I rode my ZX-9R from Minneapolis to Chicago in November, tailgating semis to keep out of the wind, and stopped at Kohl’s department store in Delafield, WI one minute past closing. The ladies felt sorry for me and opened the door so I could buy more layers of clothing.
My 15yo just woke up and called me a wimp because I’m under a blanket on the couch. What can I say, I’m a little cold this morning.

mrvmaxIt’s been in the 40’s here in the morning and I love it. Still have not found a need to break out a jacket but I am also not outside for any extended time.

pace40Just checked the T-meter on the porch. It's a mild 10 degrees outside. Toasty 65 degrees in the house which is where I normally keep it in the winter.

92fstech24 degrees outside. I didn't wake up last night to build up the fire and it was basically out when I got up this morning. It's 52 in the house right now. So I am also on the couch, under a blanket, with the dog curled up on my legs. It's going to take a couple of hours for the stove to get things heated back up in here.

r0gue68 in my house, but it takes two furnaces running nonstop to keep in there in 10 degree weather and a 1960s house that shouldn't have been built in western PA. Billet aluminum window frames, and cut through bug-eye can lights all over the ceilings. Thousands a year in natural gas.

I hope you're not coming down with the flue.
It's 20 outside now and up to 68* inside with the a couple pieces of hard maple burning hot in the wood stove.

trapper189I hope not. My son brought something home from school the first week back from Christmas break and my wife has it now.
My jacket hasn’t made it from the old house to the new house so I showed up to sub for the PE teacher this morning in my usual jeans and a golf shirt. The school gave me two free hoodies.

I bet you can feel the cold air just rolling off those.

BassamaticIt's a balmy 35 degrees right now. It has been in the teens. Oh well, in mid-Missouri it will probably be in the 50's shortly. Good.
