186,000 miles per second. It's the law. |
If your kids and others are using Tik Tok (as most kids are these days) be aware this is a Chinese company. Every Chinese company is connected to the Communist Chinese Government. They have planted code to enable the harvesting of passwords, etc, to watch what you are doing on your phone. Be aware that Tik Tok is yet another application that is designed to spy on you.

Plus it is full of predators. Though that’s no different than IG, Snapchat, FB, and the whole lot of them. Monitor your children should you allow them to use these services.

Exactly. The thing to understand is how foreign powers are harvesting and using your personal data. Imagine everything you do not want to be made public. This is your new world. Just giving you guys a solid head's up. This is the future. Big Data is far ahead of the (your) curve. I suggest not posting anything personal on the internet, going forward. Just my take.

Good god THANK YOU!!!!! "If you’re a leader, you lead the way. Not just on the easy ones; you take the tough ones too…” – MAJ Richard D. Winters (1918-2011), E Company, 2nd Battalion, 506th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 101st Airborne "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil... Therefore, as tongues of fire lick up straw and as dry grass sinks down in the flames, so their roots will decay and their flowers blow away like dust; for they have rejected the law of the Lord Almighty and spurned the word of the Holy One of Israel." - Isaiah 5:20,24

One of the few social media apps making an impact, along with Snapchat, that big tech would like to gobble up. That said, it is a Beijing based company...which means, they've got ChiCom hooks in them.

All executives running Chinese comapanies are in bed with their communist chain of command. They can't be successful any other way because corruption is REQUIRED for success at corporate levels in China. From my understanding that's sop over there. Young people coming out of top universities in China or the US, if they make successful companies based in China, they have to play the game. But in China, for each level of success, the standard of living is higher than equivalent executive levels in the US. You can have live in housekeepers and servants for pennies on the dollar compared to the US. Middle class professionals in China have live in house servants because the relative cost is so cheap compared to the US. The culture of achievement is so string in China, that my impression is that professionals in China are willing to do almost anything required to get ahead. I could be wrong, but that's my understading based on conversations with them working in the US. Also they are very sharp people and well qualified, I've never seen an exception to that with Chinese and Asian engineers in the US. So that part of their culture seems to benefit them in that way. But I also see some subtle deficits, at least from an American perspective, of qualities that are not prominent compared to American workers, also based on differences in culture. It's very interesting. As much as I admire Chinese and Asian engineers, I think American corporate culture is superior. Lover of the US Constitution Wile E. Coyote School of DIY Disaster

Ahh yes, the infamous Tick Tock... ... where the former manager of the northern New Jersey diner was sentenced to eight years in prison for plotting to kill the co-owner of the restaurant, who is his uncle by marriage. Tony Soprano would most certainly approve! suaviter in modo, fortiter in re
