Johnny 3eaglesI didn't get a watch
Congratulations on a long career of public service. Well Done!
Send me the rifle and I'll send you a watch (of my choosing)

If you're goin' through hell, keep on going.
Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it.
You might get out before the devil even knows you're there.

I'd rather have the rifle vs. a wristwatch, you did well, and it sounds like a great sendoff!

AglifterCongratulations.
It is a bit odd to present a retiree with a watch...
It makes more sense to give one to a grad...

Don’t fret about the watch. You no longer need to know what time it is

LtJLIt takes a while to get used to six Saturdays and a Sunday. I have no doubt that you will quickly get the hang of it. Lots of guys never max out their retirements. You did, so good on ya.
