Not a Harley guy, but that's a nice looking bike

I really like the looks and solo seat, although not the spoke wheels which require inner tubes.

Nice looking bike. Clever marketing placing a it in front of a Mid-Century Modern house.

Let me help you out. Which way did you come in?

Might not (tubes).
BMW does tubeless spoked wheels.
My father in law's older Indian Scout has sealed spoked wheels, negating the need for a tube.

Not my cup of tea, but that's not important. What is important is the the market.

HD's primary customers are aging out of motorcycle riding, their annual revenue has dropped about 20% the last decade, and their net margin has fallen 67%. Also, the popular retro bikes for the younger crowd cost $9k to $13k.

Does HD really think a $29k retro will return them to the days of $6 billion in revenue and 14% net margins?

I like its retro style. But it starts at 29K. Starts probably means 31K OTD. Given H-Ds shrinking customer base and so many other outstanding bikes available now for 10K cheaper, I cant help but wonder what the H-D corporate heads are thinking.

Yes BMW, Honda, Harley (Pan Am), Yamaha, all offer tubeless spoke wheels but not Harley on their traditional line of bikes which require tubes in their laced wheels. Hopefully I'm wrong but the ones on the bike pictured appear to be their traditional wheels.

The wife and I stopped at a Harley dealer a few days ago. I was surprised at how low the prices have dropped. I looked at a full dresser, 114ci, all kinds of upgrades. A few years ago, it would have been over $45k. It was tagged at $33k.

I appreciate Harley’s, they just aren’t my cup of tea, except the touring bikes. I’m set on GoldWing, but if I had money in hand, I would have taken that bike home.
