This story was told to me in a noisy restaurant and I couldn’t catch all the facts, so please excuse my sketchy story.retelling.

A friend’s daughter-in-law was a good, liberal Democratic worker in Montana until recently. She was maybe the (a) campaign manager for Hillary. She either was a legislator or worked in the legislature. To get any of her initiatives moving in the legislature she had to work with the majority Republicans. Therein was the rub: she was called aside by the Democrat leaders and told not to be accommodating to Republicans. She was supposed to be part of the ”The Resistance”. She quit.
