This is the best thread I have read in a long time. Excellent story, thank you for posting it up and thank you for making time to spend with a new shooter. This is how we make sure our beloved sport/hobby/affliction will survive. It is so important to share our generosity and time with the next generation. Bravo darthfuster and thank you for making me smile today. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The price of liberty and even of common humanity is eternal vigilance

Well Done, Sir! The two of you chose well; the single action 1875 Remington clone in 45 colt, and the friendship between you both! (Now you need to get her a western cartridge belt and a double or single loop mexican holster for that shiny thing!)

Great story. "It did not really matter what we expected from life, but rather what life expected from us. We needed to stop asking about the meaning of life, and instead to think of ourselves as those who were being questioned by life – daily and hourly. Our answer must consist not in talk and meditation, but in right action and in right conduct. Life ultimately means taking the responsibility to find the right answer to its problems and to fulfill the tasks which it constantly sets for each individual." Viktor Frankl, Man's Search for Meaning, 1946.
