Friend of mine, former Marine, is looking for the Sig pistol engraved with the Navy Anchor. What is he looking for?

Recommendation for places to look.

SIG P226 MK 25 "Navy" , or one of the earlier variants, or possibly one of the limited edition ones.

If he wants a standard MK 25 they are still current production and, depending on which finish he wants, shouldn't be too difficult to source. If he's looking for one of the earlier variants, or perhaps the original NSW limited edition version, or one of the special order ones, that's going to take some doing and he's going to need to monitor the higher end auction houses and secondary market sources.

One is on right now with 7 days to go, if Johnny's friend is up for it.

It could also be the P226 NSW. This was the first anchor pistol and was made in a limited numbers. The MK25 is the newer model made for the teams.
