I hope they win and represent the country well but, no I will not be watching. The antics of a number of players has turned me off and I don't find their brand of play to be very entertaining.

This is the crux of the issue with women’s sports. If you take out nationalism (go USA) then you watch a sport because of the entertainment value. Some women’s sport are very entertaining. Tennis, gymnastics come to mind. Soccer and basketball don’t. Mainly because if you watch one you quickly realize the level of play isn’t very good. That isn’t me being a misogynist either, I for one prefer watching European soccer to MLS because after watching Premier league games, MLS is a huge step down. Well women’s soccer and basketball is way worse than that.

So no, I won’t watch. If these ladies had kept politics and financials out of the storyline I might have been drawn to the game just to root for America and gotten past the poor play.

Women's soccer is not a very entertaining sport. Good luck to them, but I won't watch. And I do like real, big-league soccer like the Premier League or the men's World Cup.

Nor is women's ice hockey. Just...no.

As for the FIFA Women's Cup, I don't even waste my time watching the MEN'S FIFA Cup. So...hard no from me.

I hate soccer . I thank God that none of my kids or grandkids played soccer because I would have been miserable watching the games . Great sport for kids , just not mine .

Unless Alisha Lehmann is playing!!!

I saw today where FIFA banned that stupid 1 Love armband garbage so that is a plus!

Will I be watching, likely so these boys of mine love to watch any and all soccer.

The other day the middle boys asked if we could watch Djibouti play soccer.
Of all the soccer possibilities they wanted to watch Djibouti. Thank goodness for YouTube that actually had some Djibouti vs Somalia matches. I have no clue what the announcer was saying but man was he into it.

She and Alex Morgan are are quite striking, although Lehmann get's heavy with the make-up and random tats.

Yep, they can go fuck themselves. Crash and burn.

They don't properly represent the country whatsoever, but like many other sports "teams", they represent themselves and their inflated self worth. They can't even beat a team of 15 year old high school kids, what a joke.
