Actually, there are a few old things I enjoy having from past generations. I have a pair of pliers that belonged to my great-grandfather. They are still my go-to regular pliers! I have a few things from my father and grandfather, such as a watch, a piece of art, some books.

But old shoes, a worn out toaster? Nope, wouldn't want those.

Of course there are going to be genuinely interesting things, and if there is a mutually shared collecting hobby that would be appropriate to pass to the interested party. But no one is going to want your Ron Popeil Showtime Rotisserie.

Now you're just being silly.
Set it and forget it? EVERYONE would want one!
