Ocean Cleanup: System 03 Just Made History in the Pacific
Ocean Cleanup: System 03 Just Made History in the Pacific Witness the scale and power of System 03, the latest and most advanced technology developed by The Ocean Cleanup, founded by Boyan Slat. Two vessels work together to remove massive amounts of plastic waste from the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, showcasing real progress in the fight against ocean pollution. This is large-scale plastic extraction like you've never seen before.
Boyan Slat (27 July 1994) is a Dutch inventor and entrepreneur, passionate about creating mega-projects to address planetary problems. He is the founder and CEO of The Ocean Cleanup; a non-profit organization developing and scaling technologies to rid the world’s oceans of plastic. The organization aims to put itself out of business, with the goal of removing 90% of floating ocean plastic by 2040.

Thumbs up to them, looks like the worst rivers are in India and China for dumping crap into the oceans. Getting them setup around the world will help clean up the water...
It's a great organization with some very forward thinking people.

A positive contribution for sure!
One of my favorite charities is Ocean Conservation Namibia. The rescue numerous seals and other wildlife daily that are entangled in mostly plastics. That's in a pretty remote area, yet the problem is immense.
