Great we can cut down on costs while he lives in his trailer and eats out at Waffle House with his buddies.

This was discussed here as a possibility awhile back. Seems like a decent enough guy from what little I know, but what are his qualifications?

I am happy to make money. I want to make more money, make more music, eat Big Macs and drink Budweisers.

If it gets rid of Debbie, I find I have trouble arguing against it.

I can't imagine him being a good addition, but surely he is better than the democrate who holds the seat? I know he is pro gun, so that's a bonus.

Kid Rock from what little I have gleaned about him is a decent guy, he is not an idiot and is fairly talented (like his music or not).

He seems to have a good head on his shoulders. Not saying that means he would make a good representative just saying that he seems a lot less vapid entertainer then most.

He could beat Stabenow and he's Hank Williams Jr's buddy. He's been Kentucky Derby royalty for years and travels well in those circles. He's not stupid and he's got enough $ that he won't sell us out. I'll back him until someone better comes along.

He has the ones the Constitution requires. What else does he need?

My thoughts exactly. Was not the original idea for the House/ Senate to also be "of the People"?

He's just as qualified as FBHO was when he ran for Senator.

No, no, no. Kid is WAY more qualified. Sheesh - he's worked very hard in his career. I was like him - striving to make a living as a musician. Nobody works harder for less than a struggling musician.

Bottom Line: He's worked.

Agreed! He earned a paycheck, not loafed others paychecks!

Kick Rock probably has more business acumen than that SNL asshole in MN.

I'd vote for him, he has done quite a bit to help Detroit area with jobs in businesses he has set up. There was an interview with him a while back on TV and he certainly came across as a down to earth guy. The folks in the area all knew him and he was genuinely pleased to recognize them back. Looks like a real peoples candidate.

I like him, like his music or not he used to always cap his ticket prices fairly cheaply so the regular people that made him could afford to see him. He seems to be a pretty good businessman, and seems to have a pretty good head on his shoulders. He's probably better suited for the job than most of the other people that have held the position.

"The people hate the lizards and the lizards rule the people."
"Odd," said Arthur, "I thought you said it was a democracy."
"I did," said Ford, "it is."
"So," said Arthur, hoping he wasn't sounding ridiculously obtuse, "why don't the people get rid of the lizards?"
"It honestly doesn't occur to them. They've all got the vote, so they all pretty much assume that the government they've voted in more or less approximates the government they want."
"You mean they actually vote for the lizards."
"Oh yes," said Ford with a shrug, "of course."
"But," said Arthur, going for the big one again, "why?"
"Because if they didn't vote for a lizard, then the wrong lizard might get in."
