Post-shift run perhaps?

Thanks for your concern, doc. But, definitely not syncope. Simply tripped on that stupid bump. Although the parking lot had no lights on, I noticed it on the way out. But, on the way back, I totally forgot about it until it was too late. Roll Eyes

Posting while running perhaps? Wink

I haven't actually fallen on my face but I have stumbled/ twisted ankles a few times during my night time walks on uneven pavement and pot holes.

Trust me...you got NOTHING on me when it comes to embarrassing moments...

...YEARS ago my brother and I are on a nice bike ride and the trail takes us through a portion of a busy park near a local college.

We see a HAWT college girl walking her dog and as we needed a break and my brother never misses an opportunity to chat someone up we stop to talk to the girl and pet the dog.

When we stopped I had assumed it would be a quick 5 then back on the trail so I stayed mounted on my bike but my brother was in full machine gun talk mode so 40 minutes later I decide that I need to stretch my legs and decide to get off my bike. As I lift my leg up I didn't realize how tight it had gotten and as I swung my leg over I just flat out got tangled up and the bike and I went down...

...without a moment's hesitation the hawt chick looks at me on the ground and says "nice dismount".

THAT hurt.

Glad you are ok Q!

Try this fool-proof method: Whenever you get the urge to exercise, lie down until it goes away.

I know you're kidding, but DANG I've known a lot of people who have been injured running or biking. Beyond the typical exercise induced injuries to knees and ankles, it seems like falls resulting in broken bones or getting hit by cars is not that unusual.

Glad to hear only minor injuries. Hope you heal quickly.

Startled that you weren’t carrying.

You are safe as long as nobody saw you fall.

If that would happen to me, the first thing I would do is look to see if anybody was looking.

Ouch! Glad it wasn't serious. But, just wait a day or so to see how you're feeling. Always seems to take me that long for it to catch up with me.

Having experienced multiple face plants while running in the dark I now have a collection of LED Head Bands. My current favorite is a 150 lumen Black Diamond with a Lithium Ion battery that is rechargeable. Battery life is only 4 hours so I have two but for this old geezer running without adequate lighting is an invitation for another face plant.

I've stopped counting.
