I am a child of the Atari generation and have played video games most of my life. I enjoy them and have played all kinds of games including sports and driving games. I recently downloaded Modern Warfare Season 2 for my Xbox One and went to play it. Message popped up that stated I needed an Activision account to play. I don't play online on any game and am wondering if this puts me online? Thanks in advance. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

The short version is, if it says you need an account to play, you need an account to play. Just set one up and sign in. You won’t be playing multiplayer without specifically trying to play multiplayer. ______________________________________________ Carthago delenda est

Not sure about that either. Worst case is I sign up and don't play it. It came in a bundle with COD Cold War. I'd rather be hated for who I am than loved for who I'm not.

That's multiplayer which pits you online against other online players. That's COD in a nutshell whether Modern Warfare 2, Cold War, Vanguard, or Warzone. You can play the campaign mode of Modern Warfare 2 on your own, IE Not online. But you should play multiplayer. Get good, and jump into Warzone with the rest of us heathens. Warzone is free but be warned, extremely addictive. My goons (online goons) and I are on there nearly every night working our load outs, leveling up our guns and killing people. What am I doing? make a new free email account and use it to register your activision account. i believe it's just to track your stats if you don't play online and it stores your saves? that's why i suggested just make a new free email somewhere. Not minority enough!
