I am taking a little vacation starting tomorrow. I plan on completely disconnecting from phone, internet, world. I won't say where I am going, but suffice to say I will be spending time fishing, exploring, crossing several bucket list items off my list and generally just relaxing. There may be alcohol involved. Maybe I'll pop in here and post a photo or two, but if not I'll see y'all late next week. Peace.

I really enjoy going off grid. Hope you have a great time!

Have a great time, sounds relaxing. Be careful popping in here to post a pic. You may want to wait until you get back so you don't accidentally see your email or some other communication that might screw-up your zen time.

I want to say the Wisconsin Dells but it's the off season there.

Don't unplug for too long. I went out for a pack of smokes a few years ago and look what happened.

I worked for a German company a few years ago and those guys take vacations like marriage vows. The CEO was a filthy rich, int'l. playboy, just looked for reasons to fly to this or that office (business class, of course), spend an hour in the office than a week or two on the beach. He boasted about not checking his email once while on vacation. Well, Rome burned a few times because of that. My own boss was kind of like that and I had to really bend some rules and pricing to get a deal done that started on 12/23 and needed to invoice by COB on 12/31. It was just amazing how no one in Germany would answer the phone or look at an urgent email during that week. If you have no responsibilities, then good for you, enjoy your time away. But if you're a manager or a boss and have people busting their ass to bring in revenue and keep the lights on, a little time on the grid goes a long way.
