While I enjoyed ogling the chix in the swimsuit issue, I wondered what they had to do with "sports". Now this stupidity. So the Muslim woman wants to show off her body but without showing off her body? And she proclaims a faith that discourages this, but does it anyway? And she is an "activist"? Makes perfect sense!

"History" is the key word in the op. They are history. How dumb is all that can be said. The end!

Where does it end? Really? How far into ridiculous do we have to go?
Let me guess, a Victoria Secret Burkha?
How about Paul Mitchel releasing looks in his yearly book for Turbans or Hijabs?

I glance through SI every other month or so when I get a haircut. One of the few mags my barber has sitting around. It’s a shell of its former self. So thin. I remember as a kid even in the 80s it was a decently thick mag.
It’s completely jumped the shark now. This message has been edited. Last edited by: ElToro,

Remember that period after Hefner died that Playboy quit publishing nudes? It did not last long did it? How long will this particular idiocy last?

Who the hell still buys Sports Illustrated?
Strive to live your life so when you wake up in the morning and your feet hit the floor, the devil says "Oh crap, he's up."

I guess there's not much money in being a dermatologist for Muslim women.

What happens in the Caymans, stays in the Caymans?
Sounds like a nice gig!
From 1981 till 1993 I worked in a color separation house that used to do ALL the color work, retouching and stripping for SI,Time,Newsweek. I personally built all the covers for the magazines at that time. Corrected (!!!) a lot of stuff. I still remember Cheryl as my favorite cover.
I am a bit surprised that SI is still going forward with the swimsuit issue, as current culture and mens' fear of being perceived as neanderthals is taking over the younger generation.
Too bad for them.
I should be tall and rich too; That ain't gonna happen either
