Converting colors in line art images Login/Join

I'm hoping someone here can help with a small problem.

I have some line art of various "blueprint" like images. However, they are black on a white background. The files are all in the PNG format.

I am looking for an easy way to convert them so the black lines are dark blue, and the background is light blue, or so the black lines are white, and the background a medium blue.

If anyone knows of an easy (and preferably very cheap) way to do this I'd be grateful.

Thanks in advance for your help.

How many do you have?

One of my duties was to instruct my workers in advanced Photoshop techniques before being promoted.
Basically color correction and photo retouching.

I can do them Monday.

Wow, that's very generous.

I'm not sure the total yet, but I'd guess it's between 5-10. A friend's wife wants to use them when decorating his home office with some planes he's flown, and some favorite "warbirds," now that he's semi-retired. I've only seen 3 of the ones she's found so far, but she wants them to look like old blueprints, in actual blue. She's going to mix them in with photos from his private and military flying. She asked me to help, not realizing I'm computer illiterate! I will ask her to gather up the rest she's found, and email them to me ASAP.

I truly do appreciate the offer, but if this is very time consuming I don't want to burden you.

I will either do them in my spare time or pass them out to my padawans and say "impress me".

I have jury duty all week this week.

Jury duty! Oh Lord I hope if you're picked it's an interesting case. Most trials are boring as watching paint dry.

I'm still waiting for the rest of the images, but will send them as soon as I can..

Thanks again!

Neat, although I would have thought the blue of a blueprint would be much richer and darker. Yeah I know... killjoy....someone always has to criticize. Big Grin

Easily adjusted.

I love it. Any chance you could make one for me? Either from one you have already done or even better if you could do an X-15 and make the colors inverse. White background with darker blue lines.

I'd be happy to pay for it.

Not the X-15....

FWIW these weren't done with Photoshop but with freeware FastStone Image Viewer. Big Grin

^^^

Exactly what I was thinking. Also can you make it smell like a mimeograph too.

I really want one of an X-15 if anyone is willing to make it. It would need to be large enough to print as a picture.

How's this? Took a blueprint from https://drawingdatabase.com/north-american-x-15/
and changed the colors.

Lots of other images, some much more detailed, can be found here: https://duckduckgo.com/?q=x-15...iax=images&ia=images

Sniffed my phone, got it perfect minus the smell.

Wife has light room, I'm guessing I can get her to do it. I goggled X-15 blueprints and found a number of them. Thanks for push in right direction.

My grandfather was one of the design engineers on the X-15. I know what I'm getting him for his birthday this year.

DMF has all the high resolution art.

But I can make anything anyone wants.
Or I can put the padawans on it.
