Working what will mostly be a dry creekbed for water control. There will be a small island in the middle for planting and other features. I'm wondering if there are any tips. I can easily cover the island with the liner, but am trying to figure out how to handle the creases that seem inevitable. It'll be simple enough to cover at least some with sand. Anyone with thoughts? I couldn't find a good online resource for this potential issue area. _________________________ NRA Endowment Member _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. That is the plan. Any particular advice regarding handling folds and creases that seem inevitable applying a flat object to a domed cylinder? _________________________ NRA Endowment Member _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. Rocks and gravel seems like the ticket to me. But your pond will be my first. 0:01

I think you can use the seam sealer to secure any folds or overlaps. If you're goin' through hell, keep on going. Don't slow down. If you're scared don't show it. You might get out before the devil even knows you're there. NRA ENDOWMENT LIFE MEMBER

My brother installs pond liners on an industrial scale for phosphate mine runoff control. He told me if your concern were for looks then rocks and gravel would work. If you needed to join seams there were several options from large handheld "sewing machines" to what amounts to a "heat sealing gun" but wasn't sure about how you'd get either of those things. He said he look to see what else was available. I'll let you know what he finds. ____________________________ Yes, Para does appreciate humor.

That's a good idea, thanks! My thanks to all for their inputs. Between the sand, gravel and rocks I think it'll all end up well supported. The sides of the island are reinforced. I think I just have to make sure that the height of the island is sufficient that the reinforcement doesn't threaten the integrity of the liner. I'll look about joining any overlaps as above and make a judgment call on the openings for liriope once it's in place _________________________ NRA Endowment Member _________________________ "Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive.
