Wow, time marches on. I stumbled on here like many others. Trying to learn more about the P229/9 I bought kinda on a whim. It was in the case at a local fun shop. I looked at it through the glass, somehow it spoke to me. I asked to see it, and it just felt right, at home in my hand. So I put it on lay-a-way. The rest it history.

Many thanks to Para for a great place to lurk and post. Many memorable threads and such over the years. It’s always amazing the kindness and help people on here put forth. Donations for those in need and other random acts of help and kindness. Not something you find much of these days in our pc and strange world.

Thanks to all the rest of the members for helping out whenever I’ve ask for recommendations etc. Your experience and expertise are greatly appreciated. A big part of what makes this forum a great place to spend time.

So, hopefully I’ll be around for another 10 years. Ya never know what the big guy upstairs has in mind though. And somedays the comet many speak of almost seems like a good idea.....cheers.

Something to keep in mind...The join date is just the date you finally gave up and joined, not the date you first stumbled here. I think almost everyone lurked for a while and then something pissed them off or moved them to come in and comment. Or just as bad, moved them to want to know more or ask a question. That's been a long time for some of us to remember.

Who still has the first Sig that they had back then? Or catch a bad case of the disease and semi fill their safe with a tidy retirement income worth of guns. Anyone here have a Sig they've never shot, or that has nearly never been shot?
