I have like three or four and am looking for the best way to keep them or stow them. In a box? ON a shelf, hanging on a wall, etc? Space is at a premium and they do have a tendency to weep or leak. They are kind of a pita with the handle, hose and rod. What works best for you? "Practice like you want to play in the game"

Always using a containment method that spontaneous leaks as soon as possible after I put it away, only to find a huge mess when I use it the next time...

I store them in a plastic bag, primarily to prevent a mess, but also to keep the grease gun from being contaminated with dust or debris.

In a five gallon bucket, hose end up, and with some absorbent material and various rags in the bottom of the bucket. Wherever possible, I get the guns with plastic caps over the end. But they stll leak over time.

I have four of them and they are all hanging on a nail off a 2x4 in the garage. None of them have ever leaked. .....never marry a woman who is mean to your waitress.

Never seen one yet that didn't get "messy" as some point. Not always so much leaking as accumulating grease. I have two in a tool drawer and one large one hung up on a hook. I take a snack size zip lock bag (with a moving zip handle) and put over the tip of each to keep them clean. Bags didn't work for me, just transferred the grease around.
