I'm an "Injury Advocate" and I am triggered by the term "injured list". We are still capable of playing sports!

A few years ago there was talk of eliminating the "Midget" level in youth hockey. I don't think it went anywhere.

Just more PC fun. Was in a mandatory 2-day diversity training class earlier this year for work. I showed my lack of sensitivity when I used the word "handicapped" answering a question. I was quickly corrected that the proper term is "person with differing abilities"

I wanted to shout "everyone has differing abilities you twit!!!" (but didn't as I like my job and would prefer to keep it. I just attended but ignored the reminder of that day's and the next day's training)

I fail to see why it's a big deal that they've changed the name of the list. I also don't think anyone who is disabled cared about the other name.

I am generally against this kind of thing. But this one makes sense to me. Seems appropriate.

I'm more concerned about that DH rule. They better not pass that one. I would much rather them get rid of it all together than make it mandatory across the league.

Well, I still use the term "southpaw" for a left handed pitcher. WHOA, I'm sorry "south" can refer to the "south" as in "Confederate States of America". What about "pitcher" and "catcher" that may offend the letter crowd noted above.
