Once you read through the first part, that is specifically about this trial, a clear explanation about what determines the correct, or not, use of deadly force.

This sentence is a great summary of the article. The lawyer who presented this in the Texas' LTC course taught the same thing. It's a reasonable and prudent person's belief that a deadly force situation is present. It's not your own personal belief, it's not some sovereign citizen's belief, it's not some keyboard commando's belief, it's not some peacenik's belief, it's not some paranoid schizophrenic's belief, etc.

One of the reasons I prefer to see people receive formal training on the use of deadly force from an informed source before carrying concealed (even in a "Constitutional Carry" state like Arizona), is so they'll be properly educated regarding this issue. What they "feel" or read "somewhere" just doesn't cut it.

The guy that writes these articles, Andrew Branca, publishes a good book, The Law of Self-Defense.
He tries to get you hooked on the follow up seminars but the book itself is cheap and easy to read. He publishes a lot of stuff that's free online too.
