Re: the temperature. I spent the first half of of my life in New England and generally heated with wood I cut and split with my father. I get the serious cold and don’t miss it. I gave up and turned on the furnace. It was 53 degrees in the house, and my wife deemed that the unacceptable. Fire is still going full blast, too.
