So Beto went onto Reddit today to do an AMA. AMA stands for "ask me anything". The idea is that you post a thread, and people will then post questions to you, which you're supposed to answer. It's somewhat of a tradition in the Reddit community.

At any rate, somebody asked Beto how he plans to take all the nasty AR-47s and AK-15s and, well, it did not go well.

Reddit works by allowing people to vote on comments and posts. The higher the number of upvotes, the higher up in the thread your comment will appear. At any rate, Beto got absolutely wrecked by the replies to his lame ass answer. His post has been down voted almost 10,000 times since this morning, which is a miracle on a web site that is exceedingly left leaning.

I just spent ten minutes reading through the comments. So far not a single leftist has chimed in to defend that doofus beto. They are simply hammering him with facts and the straight up truth about firearms. All very well stated too.

I’ve watched this whole debate, debacle, go on for many years (I know all of us here have), and I saw some great, freshly phrased arguments in that thread.

I actually breathed a sigh of relief to see so many people (outside of this circle, and my everyday circle) actually get it.

This gives me just the slightest tinge of hope for humanity.

Many of the Reddit comments were cogent, well thought out responses. Here’s my favorite of the various threads, which is succinct:

Personally I hope Robert Francis keeps it up. Trump is already signaling that this may cause the gun control push to break down. It gives the republicans cover. And it finally says what we all knew. The left is going to have a hard time making people forget this.
