The venerable potato: how do you like to spud?
I got to thinking today and I realized that I’ve never met a potato I didn’t like and that I’m not sure I could name a favorite way to prepare them.

How about you? French fried? Mashed? Baked? Tots? Skins? Hash brown patties? Diced and pan fried? Roasted? Cold salad? Soupified??

So many excellent choices! How do you potato?

As follows:

1. Boil (not completely, should be still firm)
2. Cut into 2” squares
3. Coat with paprika, garlic and oil
4. Roast in oven, until safe to eat
5. (Optional) pan fry in peanut oil for extra crispiness

Hasselback style, but baked indirect on my Weber kettle for a nice wood-fired flavor and crisp, smokey edges!

I like them almost any way I can get them, but I love cheesy potatoes.

Mashed, with garlic and green onions. Anything else is almost just as good and not far behind.

Yes! One of the tops for me too. I’ll either mostly boil or use leftover baked for roasting or pan frying for breakfast. Much quicker that way.

Mashed with copious amounts of butter and cream is also a top contender.

My favorite is a well baked sweet potato, with some butter and a little salt.

None of that brown sugar, marshmallows, etc. for me. Perhaps because I'm a type 1 Diabetic...

Sweet potatoes need not apply.

All of the above. I'm a carb lover, wife is on a low carb kick now.

I can eat just about anything with some potatoes or rice.

It's like a cross between a baked potato and a gooey inside, crunchy outside potato chip! Plus you get loads of flavor to the interior of the potato. Like this

Baked with butter, salt and pepper. Simple.

Baked with butter, cheese, and sour cream. Okay, I'll be honest - microwaved is as good as baked.

Truth is, not too many ways I don't like taters.
