Good morning, all.

I'm trying to better equip the conference room at work, limited somewhat by budget and existing equipment.

We've got a ginormous TV in there, with about a 20' HDMI cable attached to it. Meeting participants can plug it directly into their laptops for sharing information, and that works well. Except for that cable draped from the table to the TV.

Today we added a nice Logitech Brio camera. It works great so far, but its utility is limited by the fact that it's USB-based. That is, we'll need to add a USB extension cable to it in order for the meeting host at the table to connect to it. That's another cable draped across the room.

Doing some surfing this morning, I've found wireless HDMI extenders (a gadget plugs into the TV, and another plugs into the computer) and wireless USB extenders, but I haven't found a single device that does both.

Is there a product you've used and can recommend? Thank you.

God bless America.

Barco Clickshare is what we use at work, but they ain't cheap.

Device plugs into TV, has a USB puck on the conf table that you plug into the computer. Treats the TV like a 2nd display, can duplicate or extend to it.

Not sure on the USB extender side.

Clickshare is good. BUT you need to run a driver from the dongle to connect. This means you need permissions to run an application from usb. Many companies won't allow that.
We moved to a Cisco (webex) system. You can directly project a webex meeting , or there is a share by webex, where you can call up a web page , type in the magic number it gives you. The screen then shows a passcode which you type in , then it shares. In other words it works from any PC that has internet access . May be more expensive than clickshare , but works very well
